Phase I reopening
-The sanctuary will be set up using the guidelines for a determined number of attendees.
A seating chart has been developed to estimate the distance and number of people
WMC can safely accommodate. We will take a picture of the congregation and keep that
on file for 3 weeks in case information needs to be distributed about possible exposure.
-You will be greeted outside of the building and asked the following questions. We trust
that everyone will answer these questions in the spirit with which they are asked (to
show of love and compassion of our friends and neighbors)
o do you or have you had a fever in the past 2 weeks?
o Do you have a cough or flu-like symptoms?
o Have you been exposed to someone who has been sick in the past 2 weeks?
o Have you traveled in a bus, train, plane in the past 2 weeks?
o Those who answer, “yes” to any of these questions will be invited to join the
service via Zoom

There will be an offering container available at the church for checks and/or
o Ushers will seat you as you enter the sanctuary.
o Ushers will direct you as you enter and exit the building. We expect that
compassionate distancing will be practiced both inside and outside the building
o Please bring their own beverages the water fountain and kitchen will remain
closed for the time being.
o During Phase I, we will not be offering nursery or childcare. Those with young
children are invited to continue to connect via Zoom.

to, can bring their own coffee and meet in the pavilion before church while
observing compassionate distancing.
For those who do not feel comfortable returning to face to face meetings at this time. We
warmly welcome congregants to continue to participate via Zoom. We will make every effort to
assure everyone feels connected no matter which participation method they choose.
*Compassionate distancing: this is simply a version of compassionate distancing with the
understanding that, regardless of our personal views, we will keep a safe distance (at least 6
feet from others out of our love and respect for them in addition to health recommendations.
Thank you all for your patience and cooperation.
